You can call it topping from the bottom if you want, but I see it as a form of communication. Earlier this evening, I tentatively proposed a game to Ms K/H. I wasn’t certain how she would react, but after listening to my proposal, she smiled and expressed her approval.
I currently have three pairs of keys that look identical, sourced from different integrally locked devices. Two of these fit the device keeping me restrained until Ms K/H makes a decision. Since this means there are six keys total—two for each lock—I suggested that she keep one pair while we store the rest safely under her care.
The game works like this: every month (or during whatever interval she prefers), we place all the keys into an opaque container and draw one at random. If it opens my device, I get out for a duration of her choosing. If not, that key returns to the pool, and we attempt again next time.
It’s quite a mental challenge for me while offering her a deeper level of release. If she sets the interval at a month, it will likely become a regular monthly routine. I mentioned to her that if my luck holds out poorly, this could result in months or even years of continued locking.
So, right now, my chance of being freed from this steel cage is essentially 1 in 5 each month.
Random question for anyone comfortable with statistics: what are the odds of occasional release happening over time if it’s a 1 in 5 probability?
