Hey there! I got a PA piercing about two weeks ago, mainly because I want to get into chastity with one of those cages that use the piercing for extra security. Even though I’ve spent hours reading up on various sites dedicated to this topic, it feels like we need a proper FAQ for Chastity and PA Piercings. There are still so many things I’m unsure about, and I’d love a resource tailored not just for me but also for other beginners. A/N: I’ll do my best to answer the questions below accurately, but please chime in if you spot any errors or additions. As mentioned, I’m still learning quite a bit. Q: How long does the PA piercing need to heal before it can handle a chastity cage? A: The initial healing period for a PA is about 6 weeks. Some people start using their cages right after that window closes, while others wait several more months (details below). Q: What ring size (thickness) works best for securely wearing the piercing with a cage? A: You usually get pierced at 2.4mm or 3mm (roughly 10 gauge or 8 gauge). Most folks say that stretching it to at least 4mm (6 gauge) makes it more comfortable and durable over time. So, I’d advise against putting a freshly healed PA directly into a cage; instead, stretch it up to 4mm first and let the tissue settle for a few extra weeks. Q: How should you clean and care for a PA piercing while wearing a chastity cage? A: During healing, spray it with antiseptic twice daily. I’m not entirely sure if moving it around is still needed once fully healed. Most PA hooks (like those from Steelworxx, Rigidchastity, Male Chastity Now) lock tight and don’t move much. If you do need some movement for hygiene reasons, you might have to remove the entire cage daily or weekly. I can see that being a dealbreaker for some people (myself included), so maybe a design where your personal PA ring attaches directly would be better? It offers less security but more convenience. Q: What’s the total timeline from getting pierced to using it with a chastity device? A: Initial healing takes 6 weeks. If you aim for that recommended 4mm (6 gauge) size and follow APP guidelines, starting at 2.4mm means four stretching sessions, while starting at 3mm requires two. Each stretch period lasts several weeks to months—let’s estimate a minimum of six weeks per session. Total time: roughly 18 to 30 weeks until you hit that stable 4mm mark ready for cage use.

At the very least, ensure your piercing is fully healed and flexible before beginning any stretching (don’t go more than one gauge size larger at once). After increasing the size, give the tissue enough time to recover and stabilize before repeating. This recovery phase can last anywhere from weeks to months or longer. (Source: APP) Click to expand… I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences if you’re pierced guys! I’ve been using a chastity device with my PA, and it’s been great.

I think everything mentioned above holds up. My piercing was done at 10 gauge initially, but I didn't start using a device until I stretched it up to 6 gauge. It needs to be well-healed enough to withstand pressure from nighttime erections or other tensions; otherwise, it gets sore. The more I stretched upward, the better it felt overall. Eventually went down to size 2 again recently. Be careful when stretching—you don't want to tear the skin or split the hole in your ring. That can extend healing time and potentially create scar tissue that makes future stretching harder. So take it easy! I used tapers alongside olive oil and didn't rush things much. If it hurts too much, stop. For cleaning, open devices give you plenty of room to clean without taking everything off just keep an eye on how things are doing.
