Greetings everyone, As a machinist by trade, I have the skills to fabricate my own gear, and I’ve built quite a few over time with mixed results. But honestly, I think my newest creation is my best work yet. I’ve been wearing this thing for 12 days now, and it’s so comfortable that I often forget it’s there. There are no tender spots or soreness, nor do I need to make adjustments. More crucially, there is no turtling or slipping out, which suggests that securing it with a P.A. piercing would be straightforward without worrying about the device pulling on the jewelry. This makes secure locking feel very real for me, and I have to admit I’m having second thoughts. My S.O./girlfriend has an enthusiastic approach as my key holder, and we share a long-term FDL dynamic. We’ve talked about getting pierced; since it is her property, the choice rests with her, but this topic has been on hold for nearly a year now. Like I said, I feel like I’m at a tipping point. If I get pierced, knowing my S.O., there’s no turning back. Alternatively, I could step back from this as more of a fantasy where reality looks different—a path that might eventually happen if we keep things as they are. What I’m thinking about is telling her about these second thoughts and suggesting that if she truly wants to move forward, we should book an appointment for the P.A. piercing soon. I get the sense there will be regrets regardless of which way I go. Any advice? p.s. Yes, I feel incredibly lucky to have such a decision available to me.
