I secured my birdlocked a few months ago, but I ran into two issues that I resolved using a tube of clear silicone adhesive. The adhesive is quite robust (essentially the same material as the CD device itself), so it can definitely handle tears or other adjustments. My first issue was related to being a grower; there’s excess skin that gathers behind the tube section (similar to what happens with the cb3000). This extra tissue began poking through the two back vent holes… The amount of skin is significant, resembling those small squeezy dolls where eyes bulge out… little marble-sized bumps of flesh… Needless to say, this became quite annoying… To address the rear vents: I wiped the insides with isopropyl alcohol to ensure good adhesion. I applied tape over the holes from inside the tube, then placed a dab of vaseline in the middle to prevent the adhesive from bonding to the tape (be careful not to touch the cleaned hole walls) Next, I filled the vent holes with clear silicone adhesive. I wet my finger with some alcohol and smoothed out the silicone using it. The specific adhesive I used needs 48 hours to cure, which is a bit of a wait. However, this solved the problem… After waiting two days, I put the birdlocked back on my weener, and it looked promising. No skin poking through.. I was slightly disappointed that the fit felt a bit tight for me. I wear the second-largest size ring with the cb-3000, and while the rear ring of the birdlocked is perhaps a touch snug, it’s acceptable. The issue wasn’t the back ring itself, but where my penis connects to the tube. After about two days, I noticed some red abrasion marks on the underside right at that entry point.. It was discouraging… I set the birdlocked aside for several weeks while those spots healed and considered another fix… given the $120 price tag, I didn’t want to just discard it! An idea finally struck me: widen the tube’s entrance to improve the fit… To expand the tube opening: Using an exacto knife, I cut slits in the tube extending straight back from the (already filled) rear vents on both sides. (See attached photo) I needed something internal to keep the tube spread open while the silicone cured. I used a plastic hand tool handle to slightly widen the rear of the tube (about 1/8th inch on each side). This also provided backing, ensuring the silicone would be smooth and flat inside the tube. I cleaned around the slits with alcohol using a cotton swab. I added a bit of vaseline to the tool handle so the adhesive wouldn’t stick, then inserted it into the back of the tube. Then I filled the widened slits with silicone.. After waiting the required 48 hours for cure time and inspecting the result.. I pulled and stretched it slightly, but one side hadn’t bonded well and was separating. I cleaned it again with alcohol, then squeezed more silicone into the splitting area. For reinforcement, I spread extra silicone around both slits and smoothed it out with my wet finger. Another 48-hour wait, and it was ready. I pulled and twisted a bit, and this time everything held fast. I put it on and locked it shut, and I’ve been wearing it for about five days now! The adhesive seems strong; I haven’t noticed any new splitting… It’s quite comfortable.. Definitely more comfy than the cb3000, especially at night! The main irritation comes from the silicone sticking to my skin.. a little lotion helps with that.. It isn’t the most secure device… In the shower, I can slip it out and back in easily. Squeezing the soft head of the device is quite stimulating.. enough stimulation.. wink wink.. But I’ve decided that while my wife holds the key, it’s really about her participation in my kinky little games. As long as she has control, I’ll wait for her to unlock me…
