I picked up a little sore on the glans of my penis roughly two to three weeks back, though it cleared up after several days. About a week later, two more appeared along the left and right edges of the head. They resemble the look of an abrasion from falling down. The key difference this time was that I had been wearing garments; at home I usually don’t wear them. After spending most of the day out with friends, I noticed pus gathering around both sores when I used the restroom. Once back home, I removed my cage, cleaned the area, and applied A+D ointment, leaving the device off until recovery is complete. The sore on the left has mostly resolved, while the right one still shows some scabbing and remains tender.

I began locking up in early January this year, marking the first occurrence of this issue for me. I’ve seen discussions here and on other chastity forums regarding similar irritations, with suggestions to use ultra-fine sandpaper or something comparable to smooth out the interior surface of the cage. The only slightly rough areas are circular marks where it appears the plastic was poured; these could be responsible, though it’s hard to say for sure since I’ve worn this one for nearly two months before symptoms started. However, I’m concerned that sanding might aggravate things further because I don’t see how we can achieve a perfectly smooth finish without some material filling in the sanding grooves. As best as I can tell by touch and sight, those on the left side feel smooth, but there are a few raised spots on the right that just barely register when touched.
