We got this device just over a month ago. Since it is our first one, we don’t have much to compare it against, but it handles everything we need, so we are pleased with it for now. It seems well put together and looks great (at least to me and Miss J-, which really counts), and Dietmar (the owner) has been a pleasure to deal with. I do have two main concerns about the device regarding our fit (mostly personal preference):

1. Because the tube is fully closed down to the head, breathability isn’t its strong suit. This worries me because I am concerned about comfort during extended wear without taking it off for lock-up periods. I remove it every day for a shower, but an open-shaft design—similar to some of Lori’s devices—would likely improve cleaning and air flow, reducing the chance of irritation or infection. Also, Miss J- wants to be able to touch me through the device more easily, which this one doesn’t allow well. Just personal preference…
2. I chose a hinged A-ring for convenience. The hinge had some small tubing over it for comfort initially, but eventually, the tube edges started peeling up on the inside of the ring, causing irritation. I tried using latex tubing to tighten the ring and cover the hinge again, but the latex was too painful. The area under the scrotum where the hinge makes contact gets sore after a while because it tends to rub and pinch. I think I will fix this as Mikecb suggested by applying medical tape over the hinge. Other than that, the device has worked very well and arrived quickly.
