Mature Metal discussion

I’m considering picking up an MM device (probably a Jailbird), because my current Cb6000 has a cage opening that feels just a tad small for me. I need some lube, or wear a stocking and plastic baggie to slide the shaft in without trouble. I picked up their size ring kit and have been testing it out over the past few days. MM was super helpful via email, answering all my queries with great patience. For those of you who already own an MM device, how does the fit feel? Specifically, what is the sensation at that cage opening?

For me personally, the 1 3/8” ring struggles to slip over unless I pull the top part slightly to stretch it out a bit. Once on, it’s visibly tighter than my natural size; you can see and feel the compression (it’s slight, but noticeable). The 1 1/2” ring slides right over and reaches the base with just a tiny gap left between me and the metal. Based on PansyTart’s guide, that seems to be where I should aim. However, MM hinted that might not be perfect, so here is my question:

When you wear your MM device while flaccid, does it squeeze tightly at the base of the shaft (near the opening), or do you have a bit of breathing room there? Thank you!
