Birdlocked discussion

I had great results with the PA5000 until a few days back. I was shuting a heavy metal door while carrying a large, weighty box that hit the cage of my device at crotch height. The impact snapped the top bar and cracked it open. At home, when I told my wife about it, she wasn’t pleased with the split plastic. She’s concerned the cracking could hurt me, pointing out how soft the birdlocked is compared to metal parts. I agreed but wanted to know if anyone has had success with the 2010 models? I’m thinking of ordering the PA version in that new clear silicone look. My first try with the Birdlocked didn’t go well mostly because I think I got the wrong size. The mini was too small, and being pink, it was hard to see inside. I’d love to hear from anyone who wears this device for more than just a few days. The PA version should keep things secure without slipping out. Thanks!
