I’ve been wearing a resin cage with a brass barrel lock on full-time lately. Since my job involves visiting clients who use metal detectors, I often have to carry the key and swap out the lock for a ziptie when passing through. It’s mostly an honor system thing. However, I’m not fond of this approach because it allows some play in the device, causing my scrotum to slip out. Plus, there is the trouble of locating a public restroom to perform the switch; on occasion, I’ve even done it inside my car.

Are there any completely metal-free devices available? I would be interested in hearing how others handle being scanned by metal detectors.
