I own a Chinese A271 model. It works well overall, but there are two issues I’ve noticed. First, the 50mm ring tends to let my balls escape regularly, whereas the 45mm version feels a little too snug. Second, there are metal bands inside the tube that are narrower than the surrounding areas.
Regarding the ring, I see two potential solutions. One option is grinding down the 45mm ring slightly to increase its size. There’s plenty of extra material available, so it seems doable. My only hesitation is choosing the right tool for the job—any advice? It’s made of stainless steel with a somewhat soft composition. The second option is building up the 50mm ring to stop my balls from slipping out. Perhaps some hobby-grade putty would work; I just need to check what’s on the market.
Fixing the tube bands is slightly more challenging because they are located on the interior of the tube. I gave it a go this morning with a Dremel, but maintaining the correct angle was tricky, and I suspect my current attachments aren’t ideal. Do you have recommendations for better tools here as well?
