I’m curious how everyone else prevents jock itch. To me, leaving our members trapped in tubes constantly seems like a surefire way to get it. I’ve recently started wearing my cage more regularly and noticed that if I stay dry and use the stocking method when inserting into my cage, my skin becomes irritated. Reading advice here, I began using moisturizer. Usually, I wear it during the day; previously I wore it every night and applied moisturizer each morning before caging as a sort of lubricant, but I noticed a strong odor on that first night along with some itching. So what is the balance between keeping skin moist and avoiding fungal infections? My cage style has no urethral insert. I plan to switch to an open-style cage, but since athletes without any genital locking also get jock itch, this issue likely exists for anyone in a cage.
