Greetings and many thanks for your help. Right now I’m rocking a Standard Vice. It’s super comfy overall, but the base ring is giving me trouble. My plan is to wear it for no more than two days before taking it off, letting things heal up, and then putting it back on. Lately, though, I’ve been getting quite annoyed by irritation under one side of my testicles. I’m using antibiotic ointment, but moisture seems to make the problem worse. The discomfort is mostly noticeable in the mornings during those A.M. erections. Any advice or tips you veterans have picked up over time? Thanks a ton.

It looks like metal is beating out plastic in this thread, and that matches my own experience. Open-style devices with bars tend to be both comfortable and hygienic. I'm fond of my MM birdcage for example. I ran into similar issues with my CB 6000 as well. You should definitely check out the dedicated device section on the forum; there's a lot of good info there.
