I have some thoughts to share, and I hope others will contribute their own experiences.
- Maintain a journal. Write down your genuine feelings about chastity and what goals you are pursuing. For many, it is just for yourself; but if your Key Holder reads it too, she expects honesty.
- Engage with the community. This can be online or through local groups where people meet up. Realizing that others share similar challenges helps to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Focus on one day at a time. It is tempting to look at long-term successes like 15 months or two years and aim for them immediately. While admirable, do not rush the process. Treat each day as fresh with no errors or slips, keeping your attention on today.
- Remember this is a journey; you are human. Stumbles will happen. Perfection is rare. Even those who go years without an orgasm occasionally fail once in a while. The key is persistence. It is about the long term commitment rather than short bursts of success.
- Invest in a comfortable device. I know some remain chaste without one, and it is possible to have an orgasm even with a cage on. However, most here use them specifically to prevent ejaculation because that is their purpose. Getting a custom build was one of my best decisions. Consider this: the device sits around your balls and penis. How comfortable do you truly want it? It should be so unobtrusive when worn that you forget it is there, yet noticeable in its absence.
- Acceptance. This is part of who you are now. There is a reason for choosing long term chastity—accept this aspect of yourself. Do not resist it; welcome it. Feel no shame because it integrates into your personality. Based on what I have seen here, many experience this as an ‘awakening’.
- Enjoy the process! Final tip: Most aspects should be enjoyable, even those that offer a bit of discomfort. These are my thoughts. What do you think?
