Are there other choices for swapping out the back ring on a CB6000? Mine has snapped twice already. Acrylic doesn’t look like it holds up well. The first one lasted three weeks before breaking, and two more weeks passed until the second gave way. There must be a metal alternative or some sturdier plastic that would do the job.

If you're leaning toward a metal ring, you should really look at getting a matching metal tube and cage. Perhaps one of those Chinese CB6K stainless steel knockoffs... or something similar like an HT2.
