I’ve had my piercing threaded through the device for almost three weeks, and both the key and removal tools are securely locked away where I can’t reach them. Tonight, I politely requested to be released because I was worried about my piercing and wanted to boil the unit and give it a saline soak. My KH graciously agreed. After that, she put the key and tools back into storage without any hint or hesitation about whether I should stay out for the night. I placed the tools in their box, handed over the combination lock, and she simply set it down, locked it shut, and slid it away. I appreciate her willingness to take charge of my release process and make sure it’s done properly.
