Computer-operated lock solutions

this is likely in the wrong section and it might have been talked about before But I can’t find it. My KH and I are in a long distance relationship She has tasked me with finding a means of securing the keys to my device and PA lock with either an inexpensive padlock or box that can only be opened by a command sent directly to whichever via a USB lead (or similar) which of course only she will be able to send The obvious place to ask about such things is on here .. so has anyone any ideas please? We did try one of those NOKE padlocks… useless and it sits on a shelf unused.
