I feel like I’ve reached the point where I can order or upgrade to a custom MM Jail Bird.

Stats & Background: Length measured from under the shaft down to the sack (without pressing into it): 3-1/4” Width - Shaft = 1-1/4” / Glans = 1-3/8” to 1-1/2” (cut with a loose/wonky skin area) Definitely more of a grower.

  • My first cage was an inexpensive chrome-plated spiral, sized at 1.4 ID @ 3.3” I initially tried the 45mm ring but found it would slip down on hot days when I wasn’t wearing underwear. Then I swapped to the 40mm; getting it on was a struggle and felt tight, but I stuck with it; however, I ended up developing quite bad edema.

  • My second cage is a Stainless spiral from Uber-Kinky: 40mm ID (1.57”) using the 45mm ring & a homemade steel waist cable to fix the slipping issue - ZERO edema problems now. I believe that initial try with the 40mm A-Ring was the main cause of my edema. The current setup with the 45mm A-Ring and waist cable works really well; the 40mm cage ID is fairly loose width-wise when soft but gets very tight during teasing.

My initial thoughts for a Jail Bird include:

  • 1-3/4” A-Ring
  • 3” Length
  • 1-3/8” cage ID
  • Double base ring
  • Continue using the waist cable

Questions:

  1. Is it correct to not ‘push’ into the scrotum when measuring under-shaft length? Thus, is a 3” cage length accurate? (MM recommends subtracting 1/4 from the measurement).
  2. Does a 1-3/8 cage ID sound right? I assume that 1-3/8” refers to the ID of the horizontal cage rings?

Thanks for any input/thoughts - really want to do everything possible to ensure I get as close to perfect out of the box as I can.

Thanks, Steve
