Installing and Removing the Jailbird - Tips Needed

How hard is it to get the MM Jailbird on and off? I’m considering buying one, but getting rings that fit securely seems to require patience, lubrication, and about ten minutes. If you leave it in place permanently, no big deal, but since I fly frequently, I’ll likely need to take it out more often. It might just be a matter of practice or technique, or perhaps the size is tricky—I’d love some input before I make my purchase.
