Dealing with the CB 6000s turtle-back issue

I own both a CB6000s and a CB2000. In my experience, the CB6000s is significantly more comfortable than the older model, but roughly once daily, my cock tends to retreat or turtle back out of the 6000s.

Has anyone else dealt with this issue? Is there a fix that avoids piercing? Could using a smaller spacer help?
