How Can You Have a Proper Argument with Her When She Holds the Key?

Things are pretty stable right now, but one of our usual biannual squabbles—Christmas Spending—flared up and we had a proper row. For me, that was something of a relief because I feel like arguments are generally healthy when they happen occasionally. It felt a bit artificial that since we began MC (nine months ago), we hadn’t really crossed swords over anything. Before that, it seemed we found reasons to fall out almost every month and sometimes took days to resolve them.

So getting back on topic; how do you have a decent argument with someone who already has your nuts in a vice?
