Periodically an older discussion resurfaces and I read through its early entries. What strikes me is that many of these members were quite active, had partners, and seemed deeply immersed in the lifestyle. I start wondering “what became of them”? Did they abandon chastity, split up, or has the practice become so routine that there’s little incentive to stay engaged here? Some couples appeared to be enjoying it both ways. This makes me reflect on my own situation, where stopping is no longer just a matter of feeling like taking off the device. It’s now more about providing a solid reason for ending it. I can’t speak for everyone else, but if I decided to quit, my kh would definitely take issue with it. Obviously she doesn’t have absolute power over me anymore, so continuing isn’t as straightforward as it was in the beginning when this was mostly just a kink. Yes, we’d manage and move forward, but she’d be wounded and annoyed. It feels like giving back something substantial once it’s been accepted into daily life. Do many people simply lose interest? Do keyholders change their tune? Does the chaste man decide he wants his freedom?
