Riker lock advice

Hello! I am currently locked in an online Mistress’s Riker lock device. It feels very comfortable during the day, but at night when my partner tries to get erect, it pushes the device upward and tightens around my balls. It is quite painful; however, if I use a wider ring, I can actually pull my dick out of the cage part while keeping my balls secure. Also, my balls have turned slightly red—nowhere near black—and they retain heat. When straining through the night, they go a bit purple but it subsides. I hope this is just normal and that painful evenings will pass with time. I’ve only been locked for 4 days so far.
