Instead of using the largest ring last Friday, I tried out the second biggest one. It feels like it fits me perfectly, but at night I wake up frequently because the hinge area irritates my scrotum enough to cause some pain that wakes me fully, and the skin there is starting to thin. Initially, I suspected the metal pin was causing the discomfort, but today when my wife let me unlock for cleaning and I switched back to the largest ring, I noticed a significant amount of ‘dead skin cells’ collecting in the hinge’s small openings. Even though I clean both the CB body and the ring thoroughly, these dead cells are hard to clear with just a q-tip head. Holding the ring, I used some floss-silk to pick them out and discovered that the hinge itself also harbored those same accumulations. This makes me question how hygienic the CB3000 ring is given these tiny crevices where dead skin can hide. After nearly a week with the CB3000, there’s quite a bit of grime (more than I anticipated), and it’s challenging to maintain cleanliness during standard washing while locked in (I use flush bottles with good antibacterial soap). I’m also considering whether the CB2000 ring might be a better option for long-term wear. A week isn’t exactly long-term, but looking at how much dead skin has gathered in the hinge already, it seems promising if I want to stay locked for an extended period while keeping my penis and the device clean by washing twice daily with soap, flush bottles, q-tips.
