I’ve been pondering this for some time now. What is the global count of men in chastity? Or at least wearing a device? Over recent decades I am certain it has grown. I find it tricky to work out how one would estimate that figure. Any thoughts?
Millions possess devices How many are actually Locked is the tougher question to guess. The fact that Chinese manufacturers have entered the market and mass produce so many indicates strong demand. Seeing new companies creating high-end devices is a very positive sign. And let’s not forget 3D printing and homemade options. One figure often used to estimate gay population numbers is 10%. I doubt we have as many people in chastity as there are gays, but I could be mistaken since chastity is becoming more popular. So let’s just guess 1%. The USA has approximately 330 million people. Roughly half being male gives us about 165 million males. Therefore one percent equals roughly 1.65 million men in the US who are locked at least part of the time. Given how many cages seem to be sold, this figure is probably on the low side. But until a formal study takes place we have no idea, and even then it’s only as good as the research methods and estimates.

Yes It means both Keep in mind though that long term lock ups are fairly rare contrary to what we all fantasize about. But better more comfortable and more secure devices make longer term lock up more likely.
We often look around when we go out and playfully observe couples see if we can pick out any chaste chaps! Its quite good fun! I wonder if we've ever been right. Judging by some couples we know of, chastity would probably make them a whole lot happier! I must say I would be intrigued to know the answer!

Ya, but a significant number of those 1.65M are too young to be counted/participate. For example their are more males 1 y/o than 2 y/o, and so on. Your realistic number will be somewhere on a curve, being only a percentage of that 1%. Also, many participants own multiple devices, I have four myself. I agree though that the number most certainly seems to be increasing...just the sheer number that have joined here in the last four months since myself, is a fairly impressive rate per day. Part of me hopes it becomes more mainstream, but then part of me not. If it becomes common, then is it stilll kink?
Yes I was going to mention that there is a significant number of minors who shouldn’t be in the calculation. But we don’t kniw the real percentage, so 1% of the total was as reasonable a guess as any place to start until we get better numbers

If a sample is stastucally reliable then the calculations can be assumed reliable within* the expected margin of error.
While I'm pretty sure the numbers of men who at least semi-regularly wear a chastity device are increasing, the industry still has room to grow and this sign alone shows me the demand is still not being met. And the numbers of men in chastity are definitely significantly lower than the number of devices sold, as even most of those who do end up regularly locked tend to own devices they can't/don't use. Yes, the practise is a lot more widespread and a lot more acceptable than it was ten years ago. The number of affordable chinese devices that fit more-or-less average-sized men certainly helped. However, I'd say that the men who can wear the first device they've bought long-term are a minority. Keep in minf that even though a basic chastity device is no high-tech item, finding one that fits and just works is something most people need multiple tries for - and many are in fact restricted to custom devices or DIY efforts. I'd be surprised if one in ten devices sold ended up regularly used. We will know the practice has matured once we reach a point where buying a device that woks for you is about as difficult as buying yourself acceptable glasses.

Interesting thought But unless female led relationships become the dominant social structure that’s not happening. That said, I hope it happens. I’d love to see men kept locked unless their partner unlocks them. Imagine if being unlocked was something to be ashamed of

How many people are in Chastity. (1) for sure. But I don’t think I’m alone. I do know that since I started 8 years ago the availability of cages has grown and the web sights that I use to visit almost a year ago had a lot more about Chastity than 8years ago. In my Opinion 1,374,875, people are in Chastity but that’s just my Opinion LOL
