We’ve been tossing around the idea of chastity for a while, but struggling to find a device that suits me. It’s been an intriguing journey with some bumps along the way because of certain limits I set.
No Metal - People say metal devices are actually quite comfy, especially custom ones, but they’re pricier than our budget allows. Plus, I have to go through metal detectors occasionally and don’t want my device setting them off.
Skin irritations - This is a two-part issue for me. First, I’m generally sensitive; I avoid metal watch bands or necklaces because they trigger breakouts, which is why I prefer rope and leather when it comes to bondage. Second, since the area is so sensitive, I bruise easily. As I’ll mention later, that’s not ideal for long-term wear.
Comfortably Worn - Whatever device I use needs to avoid sudden or lingering pain. A constant feeling of pressure or discomfort when flaccid is fine, but it has to be practical if I’m pinching harshly while climbing a ladder, training, or driving.
Invisible - We live in a society that isn’t fully open about BDSM, and largely speaking, I don’t want my daily acquaintances knowing we’re experimenting. The last thing I need is visible bulging drawing attention everywhere.
So, over the years, we’ve tested several devices:
- CB-6000 - This is the most advertised male device out there. It’s ubiquitous and was the first one I tried repeatedly. Ring Sizingwas my biggest hurdle; I felt like I was between two sizes. A size too big fit well when normal or hard, but if it got cold and shrank, I’d slip right out. If I went a size smaller, I bruised heavily under my balls and woke up in pain at night. It would be great to have a secure belt for it that locks without being too tight around the cock and testicles. I tried some ‘kept for her’ options; they worked but bruised easily. The Points of Intrigue & Baltus flex hurt significantly, feeling like nails digging into the top of my penis with every move. Also, security inserts made urination tough. I did appreciate the plastic reusable lock and liked DreamLover’s system conceptually. I just wish I’d worn it better.
- Rikers Locking Chastity - Very similar to the CB-6000 but features a ring shaped to mold better than the CB’s circular one. Sizing issues were identical to the CB-6000.
- SS Avenger Well-built, low-profile, high security. I had three main complaints: 1) It tended to slide down between my legs (maybe I didn’t tighten it enough), acting like a wedgie and causing an awkward walk or constant readjustment. 2) I lost the key during a move. 3) You have to sit to pee. I’d like to try it more, but need to send the bolt back to match the key. Hoping to find the key as we unpack slowly. For long-term wear, though, the amount of metal in the belt makes it tricky for me.
- Model-Y Stainless Steel Enforcer A Chinese knock-off of a German device with good reviews. Metal was an issue for daily use. I liked its adjustability and security. My two gripes were that it showed under clothes, and the metal piece running under my balls caused bruising and irritation after a few hours. Otherwise very comfortable; a silicone or neoprene version would be perfect.
- Man Whore Silicone Cock Cage I like silicone because it offers some flexibility for daily wear. I get mild bruising and soreness under the balls, but Shea Butter and Vaseline applied post-shower or when irritated help calm it down. The ring alone was fine for a week despite slight irritation, but adding the cock cage brought more issues: increased irritation, sudden ball pain, more bruising, and enough flex that a testicle would occasionally retract randomly.
- Custom Chastity Ghost This one has been most promising, though I’m still acclimating. It lasted about 5 days before skin irritation and bruising became bothersome. The last two attempts failed in under a day, likely due to external factors. One time it lasted until bedtime but made me itch like crazy; seems I might have an allergy to certain soaps, which hopefully will resolve once identified. Another attempt was a week ago, ending early due to massive chafing where the cage rubbed against the front of my balls (took days to heal). Shaving again recently reminds me that my longest stint occurred when there was some hair beneath the ring. Also, I didn’t use baby oil before putting it on for the last few tries, which might have negatively impacted things. Might try the Ghost again tomorrow, perhaps with more oil first. The goal now is to get through a full week and remove only on weekends.
