This is always an issue for me since my balls tend to stay close to my body. Hints: 1) Get warm—have a workout, get in a warm bath, or do something similar. That will let them fall away from the body somewhat. 2) Start out by placing a rubber band or something comparable around them first before trying to place the base ring. I prefer using my wife's hair ties. Once the ring is on, let it sit for a few minutes and then you can remove or cut the tie/rubber band. 3) If all else fails, try a hinged, locking base ring instead of the solid oval/circular type. I typically do all three things. I gave up on trying to get the solid ring on properly; even if I could manage it (which takes quite some time), they commonly slip out. That doesn't happen nearly as often with the hinged ring. It is not uncommon to have to try several different devices to find the one that works best for you. It took me a few tries myself.
