Attention those who have recently entered confinement: I’ve received quite a few messages from new caged individuals asking for advice on their next steps. Here is my response to them: To begin, you have chosen to explore male chastity. Well done. Many men scoff at this choice, believing themselves too proud to surrender control and accept being confined. Secondly, the question of what comes next often arises (and I hear it frequently). There isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution here; it relies on several variables:
- Are you unmarried or partnered?
- If partnered, does your partner know about your wish to be caged?
- If they don’t yet know, they should find out.
- If they do know, are they supportive of the idea?
- If single, have you identified a potential Key Holder already, or are you navigating this with no guidance at all?
- Do you currently own a device? (If yes, that’s an excellent starting point. If not, begin your search).
- Are there specific aspects of chastity you enjoy or wish to experiment with during this journey? You might feel I’m posing many questions. Yet, these are essential inquiries you must answer eventually to progress in the world of chastity. I won’t address every possible scenario from my list above, nor do those cover every question that will ever appear. However, I will outline some fundamental points you need to understand. For individuals who fit this profile:
- Single
- Without a Keyholder yet
- Device-less Here are my suggestions:
- Investigate thoroughly. Browse the forums here and elsewhere online via Google or similar sites. The more information you gather, the clearer your preferences become—or at least what you want to test first. This clarity helps both you and your future Key Holder. I’m not claiming you need perfect knowledge before seeking a Keyholder, but having basics down is helpful.
- Devices: Another area worthy of study. There are countless options available. It’s wise (and shouldn’t be difficult) to determine which device suits you best. Expect some trial and error, along with necessary troubleshooting. Few people have the budget to buy out a closet full of cages just to find their perfect fit. My advice is to narrow your choices down to two or three candidates after researching them based on general knowledge about your anatomy. Starting with generic brands rather than premium names can be kinder to your wallet. Depending on where you shop, under $100 allows you to acquire plastic, metal, and silicone options (which isn’t bad for three distinct types). Note: Having a device makes finding a Keyholder easier, though it’s not strictly necessary; some Keyholders prefer selecting the cage themselves.
- The Key Holder: This involves a bit of nuance for several reasons. You can’t simply walk into a chat room and demand a Key Holder expecting immediate success. Being a Key Holder requires significant effort. As one myself, I am selective about whom I accept as my caged partner; I look for particular qualities in those under my care. When joining the community to find your Key Holder, spend time observing people in the chats, create a thread describing what you seek and what value you bring, and update your profile so others get a sense of who you are. This helps potential Key Holders see if you’re a good match. Additionally, consider this: In-person versus Online connections. I personally care for both a live-in partner and online pets (possibly more). Do you prefer someone available for real-life interaction, or is the virtual route better suited to you? Perhaps you’d like to try virtual dynamics before transitioning to face-to-face arrangements? This choice can be complex. It’s also crucial to realize that Key Holders vary widely. While this may seem obvious, many overlook it. One final piece of guidance: Obedience is essential regardless of which Key Holder you choose. Without the ability to follow instructions, locating a suitable Key Holder will prove challenging.
