Question

In my intro post, I shared that after some occasional self-locking over a while, I told my wife about wanting to dive deeper into chastity. We started our first lockup at midnight on the 1st of this month, aiming to go until Valentine's Day. It didn't quite work out as planned.
Last night, we had dinner with another couple, then went home for drinks and some light petting on the sofa before heading upstairs. We kissed and held each other close. After a bit of oral service, my wife said she wanted me inside. Needless to say, I couldn't refuse her request; the cage came off quickly and an extender was put in place. Eventually, she found it slightly irritating, so the extender went on too. With one hand wrapped around my testicles, she pulled me back into submission, and things moved toward their logical end.
Not discouraged by this initial hiccup, we plan to finish out the rest of our original term. The cage is back on.

I don't quite see where the failure was? If your wife holds the keys, she's in charge and can use you for her needs however she sees fit. Besides, early mistakes are to be expected. It will take some time to find the right rhythm that suits her.

You were secure, then she needed you, and now put you back in safe keeping for later. I absolutely see no problem with that. The chastity itself and keeping you secure until her needs are met are somewhat different concepts; that's what it's all about. You should be dancing with joy, as many guys here wish they had things so good. It looks like she figured it out from the start. You ought to give her a big thank you.

I guess my calling the unlocking a "failure" didn't come across as tongue-in-cheek as I intended. At any rate, considering the emerging shift in dynamics between my wife and me, it seems she is experiencing an internal struggle with becoming more sexually assertive and taking control. For example, she asked that I unlock rather than telling me to do so. This doesn't surprise me because until now, I've been more sexually aggressive while she has submitted within limits. I wonder if this will change as this new aspect of our relationship continues.
