I’m seeking guidance on how to size a Jailbird correctly. I’ve been using the Holy Trainerv2 for quite some time, but persistent chafing has forced me to take considerable breaks from wearing it so things can heal up. As I measure myself for a Jail Bird, I want to ensure accuracy to prevent this issue from returning. My main uncertainty is identifying which specific measurements matter most.
The irritation hasn’t been located at the base ring; instead, it’s on the left side of my scrotum, roughly where the tube connects to the locking mechanism on the ring. A tongue slides beneath this locking ensemble, and the tube attaches to the ring via a separate lock near the top of the tube. I believe the issue stems from that tongue moving up and down slightly with each step, causing the chafing.
So, what Jail Bird measurements could resolve this? Since the Jail Bird lacks a tongue on its ring or any covering for that specific irritated area, it might eliminate at least part of the problem. Are there particular dimensions that reduce vertical sliding while walking? Besides ensuring proper length and inner diameter to keep things snug, I’m considering a double base ring with the smallest possible gap measurement—my scrotum is already quite stretched, so this could help maintain stability and prevent shifting.
What advice do you have for handling this issue? Am I approaching the solution correctly?
