Hi everyone,

I got my Steelheart yesterday. Here are the initial impressions after wearing it for 30 hours.

The tube is essentially a modified version of the standard Steelheart; the main difference lies in the opening at the end, which I wanted to be as close to the CB-6000 design as possible. Dietmar handled these modifications without extra charge, which was great. For rings, I picked one bipartite A-ring and one anatomical A-ring, sized 4&3 of the CB series. I went with two because I wasn’t certain how well a solid A-Ring would work after getting used to the partial rings from my previous setups.

What arrived was exactly what I asked for and it fits perfectly!

The ordering process was straightforward, and Dietmar replied quickly. He also answered all my questions well. The estimated delivery time was 3-4 weeks, and mine arrived in 25 days total (two of those were due to the courier company losing track of things).

So why did I switch from the CB-6K? I’ve owned three CB tubes now. My first one split after just 40 hours; I sent it back for repair and was told it would take over 3 months. So, I bought another locally that I used intermittently in between. After about 3 months of use, that second tube started splitting at the lower seam. Fortunately, my original CB came back before that happened, so I swapped to it after its second split occurred as well (by then, I had already ordered a new belt). That replacement CB also started splitting from the same underside seam after two weeks.

In summary: three CB6Ks in total—the first one suffered the worst splits, while the other two just split at the bottom. I could have glued the seams, but I didn’t want any foreign material so close to my testicles. Maybe I’m being overly cautious, but it didn’t feel right.

Notes:

1. Look: The Steelheart looks stunning with its clear, reflective metal finish. My KH and I loved it at first sight. It’s decorative enough to place next to the TV, though obviously, there are more practical uses for it too.
2. Comfort: After this period of use, I find it quite comfortable. Specifically, the irritation in my scrotum has disappeared. The ring is rounded and thinner, which likely reduces skin friction once lubrication wears off or decreases.
3. Feeling: Interestingly, the tube feels slightly larger than the CB’s (at least at the end). When comparing them side-by-side, the Steelheart actually looks smaller visually, but I believe it’s just the inner part that creates this sensation of difference.
4. Rings: I’ve mainly used the solid anatomical ring so far and tried the bipartite one as well; both were fine. The bipartite option is a bit trickier to position than my CB’s ring, but I can’t say for sure if the small line on the hinged part causes any irritation.
5. Trust: No more worrying about the seam breaking and causing unexpected pain. Before, I always kept a spare key in a sealed paper bag just in case; now, I actually find myself thinking of times when I don’t need backup plans.

Conclusion: I absolutely love it—it feels great and looks nice. I’m not sure if someone transitioning or identifying as sissy would like the metallic aesthetic, but Steelworxx offers powder coating options with various colors. If you’ve had splitting issues with your CB, I definitely recommend switching to a steel device.

I personally recommend devices to everyone. The customer service was superb and the end product is exactly what I wanted. I’ll post more updates in this thread if anything comes up, including pictures once my profile permissions are updated.
