Switching My Setup From the MM Jailbird To The Steelworxx Steelheart

Hi everyone - seeking some guidance on the right size for a Steelworxx steelheart device I’m planning to buy.

I’ve been doing chastity intermittently for about eighteen months. Began with the CB-6000S; it was a solid entry point but, being an entry-level unit, required repairs after roughly half a year of use (the ‘ears’ around the docking pins broke and needed gluing multiple times, plus the cage split). I opted to upgrade to the MM Jailbird. It took some tweaking rounds, but I’ve finally landed on something I love - it handles 24/7 wear indefinitely (as long as my willpower holds up) without sleep issues and keeps hygiene simple.

However, browsing around suggests the Steelheart is another compelling option; I’d like to experience mind-games with a solid tube design.

Current setup on my JB: Cage/Ring Gap: 3/8” (~9.5mm) Cage Length: 2 1/4” (~57mm) Ring Size: 1 3/4” (~44mm) Cage Diameter: 1 1/4” (~32mm)

I’m using a double-ring base, and the docking pin is welded to the top rather than poking directly through the ring. As noted, it’s very comfortable.

I’m considering adding the integrated lock and the “Anatomical ring.” I don’t see a double-ring option on the Steelworxx website though. My main question concerns Steelheart sizing. The site offers many options with potential for custom work.

Specifically regarding tube width: based on research from the Denying Thumper website ( it seems that because the SH uses a solid tube rather than crossing bars, a similar diameter might feel ‘larger.’ Should I go down by a couple of millimeters for this reason?

Anyone have thoughts on this?
