Like a lot of people on this board, I used to wear the 3K and eventually moved up to the 6K some time back. All my old rings for the 3K had snapped, so I figured the 6K was an obvious step up. Surprisingly, my experience with the 6K turned out quite differently. I still recall the day it arrived because it came via express mail and needed a signature. Unfortunately, I missed the delivery while running errands and found one of those ‘sorry we missed you’ cards in my mailbox. Eager to finally feel secure in my new device, I hopped on my bike during the middle of winter here in Chicago and rode around looking for the mail truck. After nearly freezing solid, I tracked down the driver with my prized possession.
When I opened the box, the first thing I noticed was that the rings weren’t perfectly round but concave, and they were T-shaped rather than standard; however, I didn’t think much of it then. Over the next few weeks, though, I realized that no matter what adjustments I made, wearing the cage for long stretches caused significant pain. The non-round shape led to chafing, and the device never seemed to keep me fully enclosed.
I usually prefer the stocking method because it gives a snug, secure fit. Yet again, despite various attempts, the 6K just didn’t sit right, making ring pain unbearable. Being stubborn, I refused to throw it out and buy another 3K until recently. Because of the discomfort and chafing, I had to alternate between being locked up and unlocked periods. As you might guess, this affects my self-control quite a bit.
I got my first Brazilian wax just a couple of weeks ago. I’d recommend it to anyone considering it, though that’s not the main point here. Part of my reason for getting the wax was hoping it would improve how well and comfortably the 6K fit. It helped only slightly, mostly with the psychological boost of being smooth, hairless, and locked in. While wearing the 6K post-wax felt more intense and erotic than usual, the physical pain persisted.
I hadn’t been paying close attention, but I was surprised to learn that the classic 3K is being discontinued permanently. When I found out the manufacturer was switching from round hinged rings (which can be problematic) to puzzle-style for the 3K as well, I scoured the web until I located a seller still offering the original ring version.
My replacement package arrived this week, and I’m amazed at how long it took. While some discomfort is inherent in chastity, the pain from the 6K’s rings was simply too much for me. Even now, I don’t understand why they gave the 6K puzzle rings flat bottoms instead of rounded ones. Why not offer both?
Reading other posts about the 6K suggests this is a known issue, even if most users believe the newer rings grip better. I suppose I’ll need to stock up on solid plastic and cuff styles before they disappear completely. I’m curious if anyone else has faced the same problem and switched back to the 3K? It feels wonderful to be locked in again without worrying about buying a single extra treat. If you’re dealing with similar issues, I recommend fixing it sooner rather than later.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on my situation. I wonder if I received a knock-off version of the 6K with poorly designed rings. It’s doubtful, but at least now I can ponder that while enjoying the comfort of my reliable old friend.
