Hi all, I need some reliable advice. After a few months of getting zero attention or interest from my wife, she has finally agreed to let me enter a lockup phase—and honestly, this time it was her suggestion (check out my blog for details). Currently, I own a CB6000 that split and is no longer under warranty, plus a Birdlocked. As an endurance athlete/triathlete who swims, bikes, and runs, we’ve decided to unlock me during bike training, but I’ll stay locked for everything else.

My main question: can anyone suggest a device that stays comfortable without slipping out? I tried running last night with the Birdlocked on, and it popped off. I’ve already added a hose clamp to tighten it down or reduce its size to stop the slip-off issue. Another problem is that the ring on the Birdlocked is quite wide, which causes discomfort after a few miles of movement. It’s actually chafing the bottom of my scrotum because of this. I’m leaning toward a steel or stainless steel device with a narrower ring width. My concern is that plastic might split during running or swimming; the pinching pain was really sharp.

Has anyone else run or swam while locked up? Or perhaps modified their Birdlocked to have a smaller, more comfortable ring? Any tips would be much appreciated.

By the way, I’m a shrinker…or maybe a grower depending on how you view it. My measurements are 2 1/2” flaccid and 7 1/2” erect with a high-and-tight scrotum (at least until last Friday). The Birdlock does seem to stretch things out a bit.
