Mature Metal discussion

I’m aware that MM can adjust a device to keep the security screw from loosening over time. Ideally, we want to skip sending my Jailbird back for repair if possible. Because my safety screw has been struggling to hold tight lately, I picked up some purple threadlocker. I haven’t applied it yet, but I was wondering if anyone else has given it a shot and found it worked well? I realize the blue version is stronger, though I feared it might be too strong for us. As far as we know, there’s no interest in using red threadlocker.
