Switching from CBxxxx to Steel

A query for everyone who has moved from a CBxxxx (or similar rigid plastic) device to steel chastity devices. I noticed that I experienced more arousal while wearing the plastic version. It likely came down to the friction created by the hard plastic against my glans. There is no chance of me returning to plastic, but I am curious if anyone else here misses that specific sensation?
