This is definitely a topic that’s been covered before, but I’m curious if anyone has tried titanium locks not meant for piercings? I’ve been searching for ones with small shackles. So far, the tiniest one I’ve spotted is this 20mm ABUS padlock:
It’s light, sturdy, and resists weather well. The shackle measures 3.5mm, which is slightly bigger than my ideal preference. I’m also curious about aluminium padlocks; they seem to offer many smaller options in that material. I want to avoid steel due to the weight. Regarding the locks that screw through rather than using a key, I’ve read concerns about screws rusting into the padlock over time, rendering them unusable. If all else fails, I might end up buying one from Lustlock after all, though these titanium ABUS options look very promising. Also, does anyone know if Steelwerks sell their lockable barbells separately? Has anyone purchased directly from them?
