Going Through Security at the Airport with Your Device

Has anyone taken a device through airport security? Did it pass without issues? My contraption lacks a padlock; instead, it features the small brass lock insert. I’m curious whether this will set off the scanner since my wife insists I remain locked up during my business trips.
