I opted to “go metal” with Herbi by ordering the S99 Steel cage directly from the House of Denial site. It showed up quickly and looked great right out of the box. Solid construction, no complaints there.

The bars are thinner than on the Cobra model, which means better airflow and easier cleaning (though we never had issues with the old one). The hinged ring is likely simpler to handle as well. What struck me first was just how heavy it felt—I actually weighed it at 147 grams.

Herbi didn’t know what he was getting into until I handed him the cage and told him to put it on. While the hinge made insertion easier, keeping everything aligned before locking it down was a bit fiddly; his skin got pinched a couple of times before he got it right. It took about three tries.

Once secured, though, it fit well and looked good. The cage’s diameter is slightly smaller than the Cobra’s, which suits him perfectly. With the old cage, there was sometimes extra room when fully flaccid, but not with this one—he fills it out consistently now. I picked the S99 partly because of that slot at the end designed to make peeing easier, and yes, it definitely seems to help.

It hasn’t been removed since delivery and will stay on until his scheduled unlocking this Wednesday. He’s had no issues; urination is smoother and less messy. His feedback is that it’s comfortable enough, just heavy. That weight causes it to swing and flop around a bit more than usual. However, he admits this is just something to get used to.

He is much more conscious of the steel cage both during waking hours and at night compared to the Cobra, which was so light and snug that he often forgot it existed.

Advantages (vs. the Cobra): a) Easier to keep clean b) Peeing is easier and less messy c) Smaller diameter keeps his cock held in place constantly d) Thinner bars allow more visibility of the cock inside e) Stronger than plastic; I doubt it will break.

Disadvantages: a) The weight b) Movement due to that weight can be slightly disturbing for sleep c) More fiddly to put on initially

On top of all that, the S99 requires a bit more care during daily activities since it doesn’t sit as close to the body (likely because of its mass). It can get in the way when sitting or lying down. Herbi is far more aware of this cage than he was with the Cobra—a double-edged sword, really. The downside is increased awkwardness even during simple tasks like walking; the upside is that it never leaves him forgetting about his chastity.

The subject matter remains: HoD S99 First observations
