Mature Metal discussion

For my MM Jailbird acquisition, the final choice rests on whether to go with a round or oval ring shape. Since we are upgrading from a CB3000 to the Jailbird, I’m leaning toward ordering a round one. However, I don’t want to make an uninformed choice; getting your thoughts on how round and oval rings compare in terms of fit and feel would really help guide my decision for what goes into the boy.

What distinct differences have you noticed? Have people had different experiences regarding adjustment periods, chafing, or slippage? I welcome any input since I plan to place this order soon so that by Christmas… he’ll know it’s coming… Thank you beforehand for your help.
