I’ve recently begun experimenting with the PA5K and am starting to take it more seriously. So far, though, I find that I can’t handle more than 24-48 hours while wearing it. My piercing is a 4G PA, about two years old now, and I haven’t stretched since going up to 4G over six months ago. When I first put the device on, it feels quite comfortable; the pin is slightly smaller than my usual jewelry.
The issue arises when I get hard repeatedly: the pressure builds up against the piercing, causing irritation. The pain reminds me of what I felt after the initial piercing and during each stretching phase (moving from 10G to 8, then 6, and finally 4). After sleeping in it for a night, the discomfort often becomes severe enough that I need to remove the device and switch back to my regular jewelry.
I intend to keep repeating this cycle, slowly increasing the duration until I fully adapt. It would be helpful to hear from others who have experienced similar issues. Did you manage to gradually get used to this type of device? Do you think things will improve for me or perhaps worsen?
