CB Range discussion

Has anyone experimented with pairing the CB6000’s rings and spacers to the cage section of a CB3000? I picked up a CB3000 about three years back, which fit me perfectly. The only issue I ran into during extended wear was chafing around the hinge. Eventually, I gave it all away. A couple of months ago, I purchased a CB6000 instead. Its ring is vastly more comfortable than the old 3000 model’s. However, the cage on this one presents an issue for me; my cock doesn’t quite fit inside. It’s just slightly too narrow, preventing my penis from sliding up and down freely within it. The CB3000 offered enough clearance for air circulation through its cage. Perhaps I wasn’t drying off thoroughly after a shower, but I also struggled to get water or soap in there. Anyway, here is the main question: Is it possible to swap out just the cage from a CB3000 and use it with the 6000’s ring and spacer setup? The potential hurdles seem to be alignment of the guide pins and differences in spacer shape. If I can merge these two components into one unit, then I could likely stay locked for as long as feels right (or however long my keyholder determines).
