The trickiest bit appears to be finding the right device alongside a keyholder who is both supportive and firm. I’m leaning towards buying a new one; I’ve been debating between the Attica Chastity Cage, which suits my girth well, and the Master Series Solitary Extreme Confinement Chastity Cage. The latter promises better comfort since it limits movement. Previously, I had a Bon4—comfortable but not very secure—and a CB6000 that was painful. The metal birdcage was decent though slightly noticeable.
