Getting Sizing Correctly – Lessons Learned from Mistakes

Mistake #1 Standing at about 4 inches when flaccid and just over 8 inches erect, I erred in picking a Curve as my initial device. Since my testicles hang relatively low, the cage base didn’t enclose my penis near its root, meaning it never fully filled up while soft. While arousal gave plenty of room for an erection to begin, failing to stay well lubricated caused the sides of my shaft to grip the plastic and push the unit away from me. This pulled on my testicles and irritated the bottom of my scrotum intensely. When I was properly lubed recently, I really appreciated how the Curve’s shape forced my erection downward, but frequent reapplication of lube was necessary. Upon receiving the JB, I adored its appearance but was quite disappointed to find I could only wear it for a few hours due to severe ball burn at the bottom of my scrotum. Mistress Mature Metal explained that this issue usually stems from the gap between the cage and base ring being too small. My experience with the Curve had taught me the correct base ring diameter, allowing me to select the right inside diameter for the cage, but I failed to measure the specific gap that worked well with my Curve and just went with the standard 3/8”. Doh! Fortunately, MM charged only $10 (postage included) to adjust the gap and ensure the ring was perfectly round, in case its oval shape contributed to the burn. The downside was being without my lovely JB for a week; four of those days were spent mailing it back and forth. I was impressed by how quickly they turned it around once received. And then Mistake #3 surfaced After getting my JB back, ball burn disappeared, allowing me to wear it longer, even while sleeping. However, I found the device still got pushed away during attempted erections, particularly at night. Although there was less friction than with plastic, I hadn’t anticipated that an erection would hit the end ring of the JB just as it did with the Curve. Damn! After more emails with M MM, I learned the size wouldn’t work unless my tip and sides were in contact with the device almost constantly. As she put it, “it needs to be a glove-like fit.” She was spot on. While my previous experience was very good—much better than plastic—my current one is exquisite. Shortening the cage length cost $100 plus $10 for shipping and was worth every cent. Save yourself money and hassle. After trying out an off-the-shelf CB or other plastic/silicon/metal device, get a custom fit. But when ordering, read MM’s sizing guide carefully.
