Jailbird Inquiry

Greetings everyone, I’m seriously considering purchasing a Mature Metals JailBird. I figured who better to consult than this community? Several of you already own JailBirds, and your input on fitting and options would be invaluable in helping me make up my mind. I’ve gone through the other threads here, but some of my questions are either distinct or have slight variations.

Okay… Here goes!

1. Sizing I understand it needs to fit snugly… But how tight is “snug”? When wearing the CB Curve’s 1 1/2”, I find that snug enough, yet I can still manage the 6000s with a 1 3/8” ring. With the larger 1 3/8” rings, I worry too much skin might be pushed out between the bars, causing unnecessary tightness and discomfort, even though the 6000 squeezes quite comfortably. Regarding length… Do I want my glans just near the end or actually touching it? So for me, it’s down to a 2 1/2” or 2 3/4” model. I’d love more personal experiences on this because I hate ordering and discovering later that it doesn’t fit right. This assumes comparing it to the CBxxxx series devices is appropriate.

2. Anti Pull-Out Option Yay or nay?

3. Other Options I’ve noticed several options not listed on the MM website, so I’m curious what else Bill can do. I’ve heard of different lock styles, like the screw version. Can you still use a padlock with that setup? Also—can he configure it so the standard lock faces forward rather than to the side, similar to the CBxxxx series? Does this compromise anything about the device? I also recall an integrated lock option, but I don’t think I really need it.
