Choosing Avatars and First Impressions

For those who haven’t been tracking the “new forum” thread in the Administrivia section, someone mentioned how there are so many photos of genitalia inside cages (which is also common on other chastity sites). So I’d like to pose this question to the rest of us: Do you think this might discourage newcomers—particularly a keyholder who feels a bit anxious? I’ve grown accustomed to feeling like I’m talking mostly to penises rather than full human beings. It’s actually kind of funny, though again, I’m not exactly an anxious new keyholder myself.
