Is it bad form to be talking to two potential keyholders at the same time?

I have been talking to two people, both about a month in, neither of them locked anything yet. It was accidental rather than a strategy. One conversation started, then the other, and I liked both.

Now I feel weird about it. Nobody has asked me if I am talking to anyone else. Am I supposed to volunteer that? It feels like the sort of thing that is fine in dating and possibly not fine here.

Nothing is locked and nothing has been promised. You are two people having conversations. That is not shopping around, that is what the early part is. Volunteer it if either of them starts talking about exclusivity or about actually starting, and not before.
