Difficulties with wearing a device? discussion

I lock myself occasionally and find the Cheap Cage from Amazon fits quite well. However, as I extend my wear time, one of the base ring pins starts to pinch me. It seems the cylinder allows enough movement for these pins to slide in and out, causing a pinching sensation on just one side.

So, what’s the fix? Should I chamfer or polish the holes smooth? I’m considering snipping the pins off entirely and using only the lock cylinder to hold the cage position. My concern is whether the cylinder can handle the stress of sleeping stomach-down or normal day-to-day movement. Another thought was filling the bottom to prevent shifting, but that might make installing the Cylinder difficult. I tried adding small collars to the pins earlier; it shifted the pinch point from the pin-in-hole to between the collar and ring. Perhaps I placed them too close to the ring (no photo available at the moment). Has anyone else dealt with this? How did you resolve it?
