I’ve sorted out the base ring. It’s a 1 11/16 size with a 1/4 gap, modified at the bottom to nearly 3/8. Earlier I tested a 1 5/8 ring, also starting with a 1/4 bottom gap adjusted to 3/8, but it gave me scrotal soreness and never felt right. Right now, my cage diameter is 1 1/4. It feels large, but as an entry-level cage, it’s helped me learn the ropes. I’m considering dropping down to 1 1/8. The sizing ring works for that size too, though it gets quite tight when flaccid. My plan is to reduce the length from 1 3/4 inches to 1 1/2 inches; a shorter cage should provide more fullness. A diameter of 1 3/16 looks like the sensible next step up. I enjoy the sensation of a close-fitting cage, but I need to avoid going so tight that it causes damage or swelling. Does anyone have thoughts? This will be used for a contender model.
