Hi Caitlin. The Vice Mini is my only cage so far, so I don't have a lot of experience to compare. In general, the Vice Mini hasn't quite met my expectations, though that could be down to how I'm built. I am an uncircumcised grower (shifting from under 1" up to about 6"). When fully flaccid, the mini feels a bit too long for me, even when using the shortest spacer. Usually it is quite comfortable. That said, the "anti-pullout" feature has been really disappointing. Even with the narrowest anti-pullout option set, I can still pull out fairly easily. The design aims to catch on the glans rim, but because of my foreskin and small flaccid size, my glans often slides behind that barrier while standing during the day, then slips past it when I sit down later. This constant shifting makes the textured surface rub against my skin, leaving me with raw, bloody patches after a few days. To make matters worse, when I get an erection, the anti-pullout turns into a very painful pinching pressure. I considered retracting my foreskin before locking up to see if that helped, but it caused significant swelling because my foreskin isn't used to staying retracted for long stretches. Now I wear the Vice Mini without any anti-pullout feature at all. It's much more comfortable, though both my keyholder and myself know how easy it is to slip out. Right now, I'm shopping around for another cage. If you are circumcised, I think your experience will be far better than mine was. Still, the Vice makes a solid first cage because it includes all necessary rings and spacers.
