I own two cages: a Holy Trainer clone and an Utimi cock cage. HTC: UCC: The Holy Trainer Clone has been sanded down to feel smooth. It’s cute, pink, and very girly. While it works okay, I don’t particularly like having to apply lube before entering it. Also, its closed design is quite short, so only a small portion of my member actually goes inside the cage. It feels too tight for me. The peehole doesn’t align perfectly; you absolutely need to sit down and remove the device entirely for daily cleaning. I’ve worn the Utimi every day for the past 9 months, and it fits well overall. I’m very happy with it for everyday use. Occasionally, I switch back to the Holy Trainer just because it looks so cute and feminine. However, sleeping is difficult in both devices, which brings me here.
I want to move forward into deeper chastity practices. My goal is to sleep wearing a cage and become essentially permanent (permy). But I’m unsure how to proceed given my current issues. Many tutorials and blogs suggest you need a short cage to prevent erections during sleep, but I find that hard to believe. My plastic Holy Trainer has a tube length of about 1.75 inches, with the rest extending back to the base at roughly 3.35 inches total. Since my flaccid size is around 4.5 inches, the 3.35-inch measurement causes some bunching up. It isn’t uncomfortable for normal daytime wear.
Meanwhile, the Utimi feels longer and more comfortable. Its tube is 2.5 inches long, with the ring assembly extending back to a base of about 3.05–3.10 inches. This offers much better comfort for daily use, plus its open design adds convenience.
Now regarding sleep: both cages have distinct problems. The Holy Trainer’s closed design includes a body-contouring ring, which actually helps slightly with night erections; despite being shorter, it doesn’t hurt because of that shape. However, the tube is so narrow that most of my nearly 7-inch member pushes backward out of it. This suggests poor design for serious D/S-focused chastity use, as I can easily pull out when erect due to the small tube size. It makes me think narrow-tube cages are at best impractical and nightmarishly painful while sleeping.
The Utimi is metal, so its rings offer no mercy (and aren’t physically contoured). The rings that fit snugly during the day become torture overnight. Emptying my bladder completely and lubricating where the ring touches my balls helps mitigate this. I’ve practiced sleeping in it for just over a week now, nearing a point of adaptation, but circulation remains questionable. My testicles sometimes swell or turn red/blue. Lube assists here too.
Recently, however, a new issue has emerged: my member fills up the entire tube width and starts protruding between the rings laterally. This causes pain because any contact irritates it significantly. When I take it off, little marks remain—not serious, but reminiscent of sock hem lines. Currently, this prevents me from sleeping properly.
Furthermore, this is a very sensitive area requiring diligent cleaning and maintenance to avoid rashes if considering 24/7 wear in such a design. It might not be the ideal solution.
I hate buying custom without knowing what I want or identifying the specific flaws. Experimenting with my small cage (Holy Trainer) versus large one gave me some clues, but I still feel lost. Perhaps an open-ended cage with physical contour rings would work? Or a ring-style cock cage with wider tube diameter (mine is currently 1.875 inches)? Alternatively, I could choose a longer design like though I’d prefer to avoid overly large cages that show visibly through clothes.
TL;DR: Seeking permanent chastity cage recommendations. The Holy Trainer feels too short and my member pushes back at night, while the Utimi’s ring design now causes pain in both the rings and sides due to bloating. I don’t want many devices. I’ve measured thoroughly but hesitate before committing to custom yet. Also planning HRT eventually, which may complicate things.
